Frequently Asked Question

[Managing Repricing] Feature: Auto Compete
Last Updated 7 years ago

Auto Compete works in two steps:
  1. Auto Compete actively finds the next lowest competitor and applies the corresponding Repricing Setting. You are able to compete with up to 20 competitors.
  2. If the competitor's price is less than your Min Price, then it will enforce the rule set for When a Competitor is below Min Price.

If the competitor's price is equal to your Min Price, then it will enforce the rule set for When a Competitor equals Min Price.

If the competitor's price is greater than your Min Price, then it will enforce the rule set for When a Competitor is above Min Price.

Example 1:

#1: Competitor 1 = $11.00
#2: Competitor 2 = $12.00
#3: Competitor 3 = $13.00
#4: Competitor 4 = $14.00
#5: You = $15.00

Your Min Price = $12.00

Repricing Settings:

  1. Competitor 1 ($11.00) is below your Min Price.
When Competitor is below Min Price is set to Use Auto Compete, so Auto Compete will move onto Competitor 2.
  2. Competitor 2 ($12.00) is equal to your Min Price.
When Competitor equals Min Price is set to Use Auto Compete, so Auto Compete will move onto Competitor 3.
  3. Competitor 3 ($13.00) is above your Min Price.
The rule you set for When Competitor is above Min Price is enforced here.

    < Competitor’s Price – 0.01 value >
    < $13.00 – 0.01 = $12.99 >

Your Price is set to $12.99, and you move up to position #3.

Example 2:

#1: Competitor 1 = $11.00
#2: Competitor 2 = $12.00
#3: Competitor 3 = $13.00
#4: Competitor 4 = $14.00
#5: You = $15.00

Your Min Price = $12.00
